About Got Dog Envy
Got Dog Envy started with two people—and two dogs—who wanted something more than the usual walk around the block.
We’re Rick and Eric Wedding, a father and son team separated by a few hundred miles but united by the same idea: our dogs should be part of our communities, not just passengers in them.
- Rick lives in the greater Cincinnati area with his dog Ash and has spent years looking for more ways to connect pups with local people, places, and events.
- Eric, Rick’s son, is based in Asheville, North Carolina, where he’s been building a dog-friendly lifestyle with his own pack and spotting every trail, brewery patio, and park worth a wag.
Together, we built Got Dog Envy to help dog owners discover new places, meet other dog lovers, and actually involve their dogs in everyday life. From local events and park meetups to city-by-city groups, our goal is to make “dog-friendly” the standard, not the exception.
Catch Us in Person
We’ll both be in Cincinnati on September 18th for the Cincinnati Reds Bark in the Park event—an easy excuse to mix baseball, community, and dogs in the same evening. If you’re there, come say hi.
Because at the end of the day, Got Dog Envy isn’t just about us—it’s about creating a place where your dog belongs as much as you do.
